Meet JJ! This 15.1 hand Missouri Fox Trotter gelding is looking for his next trail riding partner. JJ has seen many miles of trails. His sure footedness and smooth gait makes him a joy to ride. He is sure to turn heads with his copper penny color, flaxen mane, and thick tail. This gelding is an easy and enjoyable ride. JJ is good with trail obstacles, will cross large logs, water, bridges and scale steep hills with ease. He trailer loads and hauls perfect. Stands great at the mounting block and has been enjoyed by many galloping grannies. JJ is a kind soul that wants to please. Fill those saddle bags up and enjoy yourself hitting the trail with JJ!

Now, here’s the part that no one divulges in their sale ads… I want his future owner to be happy with their purchase. JJ does not enjoy clippers. But, with patience and maybe a few cookies you can get it done. He has not been hard for me to bridle. However, he can test an inexperienced rider on the subject. As far as the farrier goes, he is excellent with his front feet and stands like a rock. When shoeing his hinds, he will want his person to stand with him for moral support. While standing tied at trailer alone, he will be busy. He might paw a little and move around. Nothing crazy. When feeding grain, he will not have a pleasant look on his face. It is best to just give it to him and move on. None of “ticks” are anything to be concerned about. I just want to be fully transparent prospective buyers!
