Smudge was raised with the intention of creating a true all-around horse with bone, foot, color, and the ability to excel in the ranch classes. He has a solid foundation and is ready to continue on in any direction whether that’s the ranch horse shows or hitting the trails. 

Smudge is smooth and cadenced in all his gaits, with transitions and an exceptional extended trot. He confidently completes ranch trail obstacles and is aware of his feet over logs. 

Smudge has also been around roping cattle and is quite cowy. He stands tied quietly next to unfamiliar horses and has been hauled to rodeos around Iowa, making him no stranger to long days or nights tied at the trailer.

On the trail, Smudge is dependable and willing. He confidently crosses water, logs, brush, hills, and rough country without issue.
